A few weekends ago, I had the absolute joy of watching Charleigh, very gingerly, discover her smash cake. Her first birthday party was decorated ALMOST as precious as she is. Everything was pink, gold, girly, and happy! Right down to the tutu! Perfection.

First of all, Charleigh is blessed with such a loving family. But most specifically, her parents. Sarah and Bradley love her so greatly, it just beams from them! I’ve known Sarah for years, and am thankful for the friendship I now have with her. (And how it eventually led to photographing Charleigh!) She is one of the most kind hearted and generous people I have ever encountered.

And I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that her daughter didn’t fall far from the tree.

From photographing her maternity photos, to squishy newborn, to One year, I am SO so so happy to get to be there for the milestones and the joy!

But back to the cake! ;) Charleigh definitely wasn’t interested in getting super messy. But would you, if you had your fancy party dress on? I know I wouldn’t! Never the less, it was really fun to watch her figure out the icing and sweetness. Everyone there had many laughs while watching sweet Charleigh.
